Class cancellation

Excessive snow, ice, and wind do not make a good combination for drivers. We will do our part to ease road chaos by cancelling class that was to meet at LaSalle Park this morning. Make up day will be announced at the next class.

For today, here is an alternative for activity.

Run up and down stairs in your house 50 times.

Dress for a storm, including ski googles (!), and head outside. Go for a walk on quiet sidestreets. Is there a coffee shop within a kilometre or two? Walk there and treat yourself to a cup of tea or a latte (no donuts!).

Shovel your driveway and that of a neighbour!

That should burn a few calories and make you feel good.

Let us know how you spent your snow day.

Its 2:09 pm and I have shovelled the drive way and walks 3 times so far. About an hour each time.
Also, walked a very reluctant Bichon twice so far but had to carry her to road (short legs). Helped build a snowman with my son. Later on I am doing Pike's Peak prog. on the treadmill.......then probably another shovel OR struggling to shovel the WINDROW the town will give me. My hair looks terrible but I feel great! QUESTION from 11 yearold: Why do Snowstorms fall on PD days or Sunday?
